The Scottish European Educational Trust was established in 1993. It aims to promote and encourage education about Europe to students at schools, colleges and universities throughout Scotland. It works closely with the European Parliament, the European Commission, the Scottish Government, the Scottish Parliament, Learning Teaching Scotland, Europe Direct, the British Council and Scottish CILT.

Current activities include:

“Europe and our membership of the European Union are now part and parcel of our daily lives. It is therefore important that we encourage our young people to learn more about European countries and SEET does this in ways that catch their interest.

EDINBURGH ACADEMY CLINCH EUROQUIZ FINAL 2011

Congratulations to The Edinburgh Academy team, winners of the Euroquiz final which took place in the Chamber of the Scottish Parliament on Monday 06 June. Congratulations also to the runners-up, Cairneyhill Primary from Fife, who lost by only one point.

 


GLASGOW PUPILS TRIUMPH IN BRUSSELS!

Two pupils at King's Park Secondary School have brought acclaim to Glasgow by winning a prestigious award in Brussels . Glen Melville and Eilidh Shearer, S3 pupils at the school, fought off stiff competition from over 40 other Scottish schools to win an IBM-sponsored Trophy at the Scottish European Educational Trust's "Talk your way to Brussels" Speaking Competition held at Scotland House in the Belgian capital last week.
